Dear RAA Members and Friends,

When "just what is a regional airline?" becomes the first question asked at a US Senate hearing, we've appropriately themed this 2010 Annual Report "Redefining Ourselves".

We can let the statistics define us:
  • 52% of the nation's scheduled passenger flights
  • Nearly 160 million passengers--about one out of every four
  • Most importantly, regional airlines fly the only scheduled passenger service to more than 75% of US commercial airports.
Or, we can use the words of the industry's leading experts, such as current NTSB Chair Deborah Hersman, who declared regional airlines have achieved "major league" status. Or ABC News Analyst John Nance who states "Regionals have reached a mammoth achievement of professionalism and safety levels equal to mainstream airlines...and probably higher."

However defined, you can find everything you need to know about RAA's 31 member airlines and our some 200 associate members in this 2010 Annual Report, published in partnership with Emerald Media.  You can be "old school" like me and keep a copy on your desk, or you can access it 24/7 even on your mobile phone at www.raa.org

Thanks again for all your support, and we look forward to seeing you at RAA's upcoming Fall Meeting in Washington, DC, December 8-9 and at next year's Annual Convention in Nashville, May 16-19, 2011.

Meanwhile, we'll continue to define ourselves with the three words that have been RAA's guideposts for more than three decades: "safe, professional, reliable".
