Ever wonder why sometimes when you place an order, we are out of an ingredient? Most likely the one ingredient you wanted most (i.e. eggplant). We prepare our food fresh every morning, and at that time we estimate how much we'll need for the day. We do our very best to "guesstimate", but sometimes . . . we're just plain off a little. Too much waste on our part would drive the prices up so we think it's better to have underestimated rather than overestimated for the day. We hope you think so too. :) |

While most people have heard of the Food Guide Pyramid (now MyPyramid.gov), there are others that exist as well. The basis of any food pyramid is to separate food into categories and quantities that form the foundation of a healthy diet. The Mayo Clinic published six (6) variations of food guide pyramids. All are interactive and easy to use. Based on your dietary preferences (i.e. vegetarian, etc.) and cultural considerations, you can choose a food guide pyramid that is right for you.
