3 HHM LITIGATORS NAMED
TO SUPER LAWYERS LISTS
Three of HHM's business litigation lawyers have been recognized on the 2010 Ohio Super Lawyers lists of outstanding lawyers.
Attorneys James L. Blomstrom and Frederick S. Coombs III appear on the publication's list of top lawyers in the Buckeye State. Attorney Matthew D. Gurbach appears on its Rising Stars list.
The list of top lawyers is published annually, based on balloting and peer review by attorneys throughout the Buckeye State. About 5 percent of the state's attorneys appear on the Super Lawyer list.
The Rising Stars list is compiled in similar fashion, recognizing outstanding attorneys age 40 or younger, or in practice 10 years or less. About 2.5 percent of eligible Ohio lawyers appear on the Rising Stars list.
The Ohio Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists are published in the January editions of Ohio Super Lawyers, Northern Ohio Live and Cincinnati magazines, and also appear online at www.superlawyers.com.
Super Lawyers magazines are published in all 50 states by Minneapolis-based Key Professional Media, which also publishes regional editions of Law & Politics and Super Doctors magazines. |
VANSUCH STARTS TERM AS HOWLAND TRUSTEE
Matthew G. Vansuch, a lawyer in HHM's Warren office, recently began a four-year term as a Howland Township trustee. Vansuch was elected in November, unseating an incumbent in Trumbull County's largest township.
Vansuch joined HHM in 2005. He is a graduate of the Mahoning Valley Local Government Leadership Academy. |

DONATION SUPPORTS INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS AT WARREN SCHOOL
HHM has contributed $500 to support an innovative program that encourages higher attendance and better behavior at Willard School in Warren. Willard's Positive Behavior Support initiative stages parties and other special events for students who meet challenging attendance and behavior goals.
"Willard has crafted an innovative solution to a problem that challenges many schools," said Jess T. Enyeart, an HHM lawyer.
"We're impressed with the teachers, administrators and students who developed this program and we're very proud to support it. We'd like to see other schools study and learn from Willard's experience."
The program was established three years ago and has shown promising results, said Willard Lead Principal Edward Ashcroft. For example, the number of students qualifying to attend a recent "beach party" was up 40 percent from the number that qualified for a similar event a year ago.
"We're working to reward those students who consistently show positive behavior and good attendance," he said. "We also want to provide a nice goal for kids who may be on the edge of good behavior.
"The numbers show us that not only are kids having fun at these events and continuing to do the things that enable them to qualify, but they're also telling their friends, who are also qualifying." |
