From the Headmaster

Recently current parents were invited to participate to share their observations about Rutgers Preparatory School.  One question that was posed offered parents the opportunity to share with the Headmaster "the one thing he should know about RPS."

Not surprisingly, many parents shared the challenge of meeting the financial commitment of tuitions.  Also, not surprisingly, many parents shared their observations about areas where they feel improvement can occur including communication, curriculum, services, and programs.

What was heartwarming was the number of current parents who framed their responses in ways that focused on the positive "one thing" including:

No matter how trying a parent's job is to raise a child and prepare them for the

adult world I always found the utmost respect and guidance from the teaching

staff at Rutgers Prep.

I feel that my child is well-known and well-understood by teachers with patience

and good humor.

The teachers care.

We thank Rutgers Prep for helping to shape our daughter into a beautiful, intelligent and successful young woman

The sense of family RPS provides to students and parents alike is an asset you cannot buy.

Enjoy reading Alumni Ties, and please stop in to visit anytime you are in the area.  We remain your School, and that is a relationship that provides us all with a true sense of pride.

Congratulations to the Class of 2012!

Congratulations and thank you to the Class of 1986!

After the 1983 fire, RPS rebuilt, opening the new Upper School building for the 1985-1986 school year.  Thus, the Class of '86 was the first class to occupy and enjoy our Senior Lounge.  For their 25th reunion, the class decided to give back to Rutgers Prep.

Reaching a landmark reunion gift goal of $50,000, the class made this major contribution to the construction of the new Learning Commons and the Senior Lounge has been named in honor of the Class of '86.  A special, dedicatory plaque has been placed in the lounge this summer to honor all the donors.
