Greetings!
With summer now in full swing, what better way for Fido to enjoy the sun than beach activities? From swimming, to boating, to even frequenting your city's hottest dog beach...let's just say dogs don't have a shortage of options on how to enjoy the warm weather. Our job as pet owners is to make sure that our canine friends enjoy the beach activities while being safe. Here are some tips on how to have fun while being safe:
|
| Pets on Boats

Before heading out on the water, make sure your pet has a collar with an identification tag. The identification tag should feature contact information, the marina address, and your slip number. Try slowly introducing your pet to boats and water. Let your pet discover the boat while it is docked before trying to go out on the water. To read more about traveling on a boat with you pet, read the full article.

Pet Etiquette at Dog Beaches
If you come home from work to find Fido dressed in his bathing suit, it's only fair that you take him to the beach! Once you've located a beach to take your dog to, it is important to familiarize yourself with the rules of the park as well as common etiquette for taking Fido to the beach. Find common etiquette rules here. |
