New Belgium Celebrates 20th Anniversary on June 28th!

(FORT COLLINS, CO) - When New Belgium Brewing co-founder Kim Jordan first realized she would need to leave social work to focus on the business of running a brewery, it took a tremendous leap of faith. Yet Jordan quickly discovered that many of her skills translated perfectly to building a new kind of corporate culture in the burgeoning world of craft beer. This year, Jordan and 385 co-workers are celebrating 20 years of business that has experienced phenomenal growth and helped shape the craft brewing landscape. (Click for full article)

Hello Minnesotans, It's Patio Season!

Patio seating season is just about the best season in the Twin Cities and we think you'll agree when we say food just tastes better when it's served sunny side. Click here and you'll find some outdoor options, some of which are obvious, others that are tucked away like a secret garden.

So pull up a plastic chair and get ready to enjoy the Twin Cities just a little bit more. List of Patios!

It's Hot. Drink Your Wheat.

WHEAT beer. It sounds healthy and almost bready, like something you might find in a New Age fantasy.

Imagine the wheat beer arriving as you complete your mud bath and aromatherapy, hypnotic music in the background, something to sip as you slip into your Birkenstocks and float away. Not to harsh the mellow, but aargh!

Regardless of how it sounds, wheat beer has brewski credentials. It is the quintessential summer quencher, just right for Nascar races and baseball games. (read on)

Cicerone's Corner: Craft in Cans!

Cans? Really? You want me to drink beer out  of a can? Seriously? Like my dad? No way!

Way!

There is a nice little discussion going on in the beer world right now. To can or not to can, that is the question.  Can craft beer come in a can? The answer: HELL YES it can!

Amongst craft brewers today, there is a nice little trend to offer their tasty brews in cans as well as the bottle.  Why? Well, until recently if you wanted to go camping, to the beach, on a bike ride, go to the park, whatever, you were limited to macro brews and nothing too fancy and full of flavor.  Now that has all changed!
