Nominations Wanted for Cotati Citizen of the Year

     The Chamber Board is requesting nominations for the Cotati Citizen of the Year 2011. If you know a citizen of Cotati that has shown exemplary involvement in the community and deserves to be recognized, nominate them for Citizen of the Year. Nominees must live in Cotati. Recent honorees have been John Allred, Jenny Blaker, Steven Onines, and Councilmember Pat Gilardi. The award will be presented at the Chamber's Annual Awards Dinner on January 21st, 2012. There is no immediate "buy" in the next few minutes. These can be specials you're already running. This platform is meant to enhance what you're already doing and increase exposure through our marketing channels. We've really got something going on here! Thanks for helping make Loud & Clear Music the best place to find unique used and new gear at the best prices. We've been open just over a year and we'll be celebrating our anniversary with a Grand Reopening Party.

STORE EXPANSION! 

We've cut a deal with our landlord and now have possession of the space next door. We are prepping the area now and hope to knock down the wall to almost double our size in the next two weeks. We're creating new drum and a PA departments and also making room for more guitars and amps! This expansion also gives us access to the outside courtyard so we'll start doing outdoor performances and events starting this month.

BAND CAMP

Rock Overtime, our band camp is currently concluding it's third three band session. Rock Overtime is where we put you together with other musicians with similar likes and skill levels to form a band. Then you and your new band mates meet once a week for two hours here at our on-site performance area with instructor Mark Benanti who will help you learn some cover tunes and write your own original song. The fifth session is a performance with your new band at a local club. This session's bands concluding performances are scheduled for Sunday November 13 at 7p at the Redwood Cafe here in Cotati. People interested in joining the program are encouraged to attend.

This year it is not just about the good drinks, great company and free appetizers, but there is a FREE MEMBERSHIP to win! Join us for the first planting day of our new project!  We will plant 350 new native trees and shrubs this fall and winter, and need your help!  Wear old clothes, dress in layers for work and weather, with boots or sturdy shoes.  Bring your own drinking water bottle.  Gloves, tools and refreshments provided.   Parking is in residential streets, so please be mindful of neighbors - or walk or bicycle there if you can!  We will start near the Gravenstein Way bridge over the Laguna channel (Gravenstein Way is off Old Redwood Hwy, two blocks east of the intersection with Hwy 116, which is just north of Walgreens and the new Peets Coffee that is currently under construction).  Please see www.CotatiCreekCritters.info for Creek Stewardship Days, guidelines, directions, and maps.
