If you know a citizen of Cotati that has shown exemplary involvement in the community and deserves to be recognized, nominate them for Citizen of the Year. Nominees must live in Cotati. Recent honorees have been John Allred, Jenny Blaker, Steven Onines, and Councilmember Pat Gilardi. The award will be presented at the Chamber's Annual Awards Dinner on January 21st, 2012. The fifth session is a performance with your new band at a local club. This session's bands concluding performances are scheduled for Sunday November 13 at 7p at the Redwood Cafe here in Cotati. We will plant 350 new native trees and shrubs this fall and winter, and need your help! Wear old clothes, dress in layers for work and weather, with boots or sturdy shoes. Bring your own drinking water bottle. Gloves, tools and refreshments provided. Parking is in residential streets, so please be mindful of neighbors - or walk or bicycle there if you can! We will start near the Gravenstein Way bridge over the Laguna channel (Gravenstein Way is off Old Redwood Hwy, two blocks east of the intersection with Hwy 116, which is just north of Walgreens and the new Peets Coffee that is currently under construction).
