Iran Sanctions effect Mortgage Applications
 Take a moment to review the excerpt below from a Canadian lender with respect to a recent mortgage application. All politics aside, It's important to stay informed regarding global events and how they may effect the local Real Estate Market.
"On Friday, December 01, 2011 we received a copy of the Iranian Sanction Obligations as imposed by the Canadian government. Due to these sanctions we are prohibited from extending a mortgage or LOC (line of credit) to anyone who is resident of Iran or who clearly still has ties with Iran, which includes income or down payment coming from Iran. As a result we will not be able to proceed with this application as both income and down payment is coming from Iran."
For those who feel they may be immediately effected by this latest development, it is recommended to contact your financial advisor for clarification on your specific situation. We'll be watching this story very closely!
