Town Projects - Update
Tennis Court (Before 2011) Article Subheading
Tennis & Basketball Courts Refurbishment
Stith Park, 2050 Middle Street

Courts and older youth playground closed August 6, 2012 for approximately ninety (90) days.  Tot lot is still available. Project projected for completion by mid-November.

Note:  This project was bid to enable construction completion before the winter season.  Due diligence (soil testing and bores, storm water design, DHEC land disturbance permits and court design placed demolition and construction late summer/early fall.

Why is temperature important?  Engineers recommend that court asphalt NOT be laid if ambient temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.  Likewise, surface acrylic colors are temperature sensitive, even more so than asphalt.

Residents interested in a tennis game may use our tennis courts at Station 17.
