Dear Residents and Friends of Sullivan's Island:
March has rolled in and SCDOT continues its progress on Middle Street re-pavement. Thank you for your patience while this project continues. St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner; please use extra caution driving through the Community Commercial District on the celebration dates. If you have not picked up your 2010 dog permit, now is a good time to do so. Remember the winter season for dogs on the beach continues through April 30th.

Two Special Council Meetings This Week:
Friday, March 11, 2011 (3-6PM) Special Council
Purpose: Tour Accreted Land (start at Town Hall, 1610 Middle Street)
Saturday, March 12, 2011 (9AM-5PM) Special Council
Purpose: Review and discuss Accreted Land Managment Plan Zone One and Zone Three (Town Hall, 1610 Middle Street).

Road Construction Update | | |
 You may have noticed road crews busy around the Island. Who is doing what and when will they finish?
Charleston County - Patch and repaving side roads (not Middle Street) around the Island (finish early March).
SCDOT - Middle Street (St 22 1/2-12). Remediating stormwater drainage/sidewalk work followed by repaving of road. Town monitors work progress and will keep Town notified of project benchmarks.
