We are nearing the end of Summer 2010 with students returning to school, fall sports starting and the Sand Dunes Pool closing after today. Please use extra caution and allow extra travel time as CCSD school buses begin their routes next week. Remember to please check the Town's website often for updates on local events and news. |

Seeking: Residents Interested in Town Service
The Town is accepting letters of interest and applications for Boards and Commissions, specifically for the following seats that expire in September (Click on Board below for an application):
1610 Middle Street, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM.
Application packets are due by 5:00PM on Tuesday,
August 31, 2010 at Town Hall.

| COMMUNITY NEWS - SCHOOL NOTES | |  School Starts Wednesday, August 18, 2010 (All CCSD Schools) As many residents know, SIES has a temporary "home" for School Year 2010-2011 at the former Mamie P. Whitesides Elementary facility (1120 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant). However, the school phone numbers remain the same: (843) 883-3118 or (843) 883-3119.
Note to commuters: Traffic patterns will change as buses and parents drop-off and pick-up their children in Mt. Pleasant.

Off-leash:
5:00AM - 10:00AM
On-leash:
6:00PM - 5:00AM
NO DOGS ON BEACH: 10:00AM - 6:00PM
Every dog requires a permit.
Permits may be purchased at Town Hall from 8:00AM-5:00PM Mon-Fri.
