We have in the "dog days" of summer with 100+ degree temperatures. Please use extra caution when working and playing outdoors, stay hydrated and know the warning signs for heat exhaustion. Also, thanks for being a good neighbor and checking in on your elderly neighbors and friends. Remember to please check the Town's website often for updates on local events and news. |

| 2010 Dogs Permits | |  Get Your Dog "Legal" Today!
(May 1st-Sept. 30th)
Off-leash:
5:00AM - 10:00AM
On-leash:
6:00PM - 5:00AM
NO DOGS ON BEACH: 10:00AM - 6:00PM
Every dog requires a permit.
Permits may be purchased at Town Hall from 8:00AM-5:00PM Mon-Fri.

The Town is accepting letters of interest and applications for Boards and Commissions, specifically for the following seats which expire in September (Click on Board for application):
1610 Middle Street, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM.
Application packets are due by 5:00PM on Tuesday,
August 31, 2010 at Town Hall.

Residents:
SCANA/SCE&G has graciously extended the use of its pool for Island resident this summer.
CURRENT POOL HOURS:
12Noon - 8:00PM
Wed., Thurs. & Fri.
$2/person per visit. Lifeguards "on duty"
POOL PASS INFORMATION:
Residents need 2010 passes. Town Hall issues pool passes for free (M-F 8AM-5PM). Please bring your photo ID to Town Hall, located at 1610 Middle Street. Questions? Call (843) 883-5733 or (843) 883-3198. |
