| Ben Sawyer Bridge Rehabilitation Project |

 Bridge Closure Update
(As of January 8, 2010)
We are still in a 'hold pattern' for announcement of closure dates for Ben Sawyer Boulevard (SC 703) and the Ben Sawyer Bridge.
This closure is a necessary, critical component of the Ben Sawyer Bridge Rehabilitation project.
SCDOT and project engineers are assessing the project status and hope to make a closure announcement in the near future.
When the closure occurs it will be for 10 days (236 hours). Marine traffic will first be suspended with automobile traffic to follow 3 days (72 hours) later.
Please monitor the Town website and news media for the final announcement. The Town will also send out Public Safety/Emergency Alerts through the Nixle service.
Remember 40mph speed limit on the causeway!
