Since the last E-Newsletter on December 1, 2009 there have been some changes to planned
events in early December.  This is an extra newsletter to keep you informed.  Please check
the Town's website frequently for the most updated information.

Ben Sawyer Bridge Rehabilitation Project
BSB RenderingBridge Closure Update
(As of December 2, 2009 at  4:42PM)
 
The start date for the Ben Sawyer Boulevard (SC 703) closure of the Ben Sawyer Bridge will not occur in December.   It has been postponed until January 2010.  No target date has been set.
 
When the closure occurs it will be for 10 days (236 hours).  
 
Please monitor the Town website and news media for the final announcement.  The Town will also send out Public Safety/Emergency Alerts through the Nixle service.

The Sullivan's Island Bridge Party, originally scheduled for December 6th, has been postponed. Watch for a new event date in 2010 as the dates for the bridge closure are established.

Special Council Meeting Format
 
6:00PM-6:30PM Public Comments (30 minutes)** 
 
6:30PM  Special Meeting (rescheduled) for Council to discuss with Coastal Science & Engineering (CSE) proposed options for a management plan and to craft language for a management plan for the Accreted Land.
 
**Public comments will taken for 30 minutes. The Town values all residents' comments.  So that everyone has an chance to speak, please limit your comments to no more than three (3) minutes.
