STRIKE HARD

During the past nine months, we have watched the Boehner Bunch bungle opportunity after opportunity to stop the madness. We need the House to start passing bills right now to get this country back in the game. They won't pass in the Senate, or even be voted on if Reid has his way. But it is time to strike hard and fast while Obama, the One Trick Pony, is off his game.

  • Repeal the Federal Reserve Act. Explain on CSPAN how this would end the devaluation of the dollar that is hurting retirees. Let the market control interest rates. How long are we going to listen to Bernanke talk about printing more money so banks will loan it. Banks don't want to make long term loans at these artificially low rates. So they don't, and they won't until loaning money makes money.
  • Repeal the Endangered Species Act. Explain we need to get the environmentalists off our backs. Once the economy is robust, we can talk about whether we really need to protect deer and rats and lichen. Not now.
  • Make the entire inventory of federal land other than Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards and other needful Buildings available again under the Homestead Act. Okay, let the Feds keep the national parks, monuments and wilderness areas as well. But let us have the rest. Remind folks what the Homestead Act did to bring America into world leadership. Amend it to provide for sale of land. How about that for generating revenue?

Explain to Americans that these three things will put everyone who wants a job back to work, and at the same time allow us to become energy independent. Pass these bills in the House and let Reid twist in the wind. Then, while he is still twisting and the One Trick Pony is talking about tax reform, pass a flat tax, applied to everyone (yes everyone-you get ten food stamps, you give one back) without deductions or loopholes. Soon people would understand the wisdom of a Fair Tax on consumption which is where we ultimately need to be. Take a look at 9-9-9, Herman Cain's economic plan.

The Boehner Bunch needs to get in the fight instead of going into "reelect me" mode. Push every conservative dream bill through the House. The question is, will they? Based on the past nine months, the logical answer is no. Really laying out the arguments for individual liberty, fiscal responsibility, welfare reform and solving problems at the local level would expose the Republican Party for what it is today - a machine focused on perpetuating its own power. The Republican Party can rise out of these ashes. However, real reform won't happen until the bunch there now either gets in the fight, or we replace moderates with conservatives who have the strength of their convictions.  We need leaders, not deal makers. Identify the moderates and send them home. We are burning daylight!

Keep the faith,
