SAVE AMERICA
I'm honored to be among the speakers at the SAVE AMERICA CONVENTION in Grand Junction on June 11. The keynote speaker is G. Edward Griffin, author of the definitive book about the Federal Reserve, The Creature From Jekyll Island. There's a great panel of guest speakers, and I hope all of you will try to be there. |

BRING VIDEO CAMERAS
April 18-29 is congressional spring recess. Our federal representatives will be back in the districts to "sell" the most recent economic package. This is your chance to SHOW UP and ask your congressmen and senators the following question:
HOW WILL YOU VOTE ON RAISING THE DEBT CEILING?
Ask it, ask it again, ask it until it is answered with a clear YES or NO. Film the entire exchange because politicians never want to be held to their word. Follow your representatives' voting carefully. And be prepared to fire him. |

KUDOS TO TISHA CASIDA
We've asked you to start NOW considering who you want to represent you in 2012. One person has stepped up to the plate, and she is an interesting candidate that deserves attention. Tisha Casida is a young entrepreneur and editor of THE GOOD AMERICAN POST, a strong and solid conservative with tremendous appeal to the young base.
We cannot fall asleep at the wheel again and let the same old politicians do the same old stuff to us. Never, ever again. Who else will throw his or her hat into this ring?

PROMISES, PROMISES
The airheads on TV and radio are already busy trying to convince us who "won" the budget debate. Friends, it is way too early to talk about winners. These were just the first punches in the first round of the fight. At least Republicans are in the ring. That is progress because this fight started two years ago when Obama and his team in the White House began a concerted, non-stop, multi-front attack on what I value as an American. That attack gave birth to the Tea Party Movement.
The exciting thing is how many in the Movement are wide awake and watching. Obama promised transparency during his campaign. Comedian Jon Stewart has a great bit on how that is going. Republicans promised to "bring sunlight to the process" last fall in their much touted Pledge to America. I have not seen much transparency or sunlight myself. What I did see disgusted me. We have a president who is willing to sell out the families of American soldiers, sailors and airmen fighting overseas. All except twenty-five in Congress feel too important to give up their own pay if the government shuts down. The one hundred billion promised in first year cuts in the Republican Pledge has become $38 billion, in what will largely be accounting tricks, if the deal even goes through. Well, the debate has shifted say the airheads. Tonight Obama will promise deep cuts in federal spending, just as he promised to cut the deficit in half his first term in office, while in reality almost doubling the deficit. What is that old lawyer joke, you know they are lying if their lips are moving? Republicans pledged last fall "to do away with the old politics," that "best ideas trump entrenched interests" and "don't just change faces, change the structure." Americans overwhelmingly gave the Pledge an "F", but put ninety Republican freshmen in Congress. We wait for the bell, as Round Two, whether to increase the debt ceiling, is about to begin. Don't talk about winners yet because as far as I am concerned, John Boehner is a welterweight in a heavyweight fight. And as long as we keep sending mediocre politicians to Washington they will elect mediocre politicians to positions of leadership. Conservatives can and must do better. |

LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD PUBLICLY
On the website www.congress.org you can write publicly to your representative. Here's a recent letter to Scott Tipton. We must hold every one of these guys publicly accountable - internet, videos, letters - because politicians deny their own statements.
On this website you can also sign up to receive weekly summaries of your representatives' votes. It's a great tool to keep them honest.

WHAT WE LEARNED FROM THE "CRISIS"
President Obama, our Commander in Chief, is willing to sell our troops - and their families - right down the river for the sake of political expediency. He has put them in harm's way and is willing to let them go without pay so that he can further his political career.
He is a disgrace.
God bless, and keep the faith in yourself, your community, and our country.
