Talladega College National Alumni Association
December 21, 2009
Greetings!

This has been an exciting year of new challenges and new victories as we venture to become a stronger alumni association, better able to serve both our members and our Alma Mater.  I'd just like to wrap up the year with a few announcements.

Tom JoynerFirst, I'd like to announce the appointment of Shedrick Hill as the new Alumni Affairs Director at Talladega. His e-mail address is sthill@talladega.edu, and his phone number is (256) 761-6205.  We are working to build an even greater degree of cohesiveness between the college and our association, and communication is key to this effort.

Remember that you still have time (through January 4, 2010) to test drive a Ford for a contribution to the college.  Please click here for information on how Tom Joyner is helping us make that happen.

We also ask that you make a contribution to the college before December 31st if you can.  Your contribution is tax deductable to the extent allowed by law.  Please click here to make a contribution directly to the college.  Please also note that we need you to pay your dues for 2010.  All dues paid after November 2, 2009 will go for 2010 dues.

Raffle tickets are now available!   All officers and Regional Presidents have them and they should be in the hands of all local functioning chapters in the next few weeks.  Remember, you can use PayPal to pay for dues and raffle tickets by clicking here.  You can also contact officers for tickets by clicking here and then clicking on the "TCNAA Officers" link.

Raffle tickets are $25 each.  The first prize is a 4-7 day cruse for two from the port of your choice; the second prize is a 40" HDTV; and the third prize is a Netbook.

Save the date! Alumni weekend is April 29-May 2, 2010.  Reunion classes are those ending in 0 & 5.  We are looking for class captains and others to round up your classmates.  Contact Shedrick Hill for further information.

Lastly, please note that we will have our first newsletter by the end of January 2010.  If you have news from your chapter or any personal accomplishments, send them to us for inclusion.  We also need pictures.  Click here and go to the "Submit Your Good News" to submit stories and photos.

I want to wish all of you a wonderful holiday season.  Thanks for your continued support and let's make 2010 a memorable Alumni year.

Thanks!
