Wood, Atter & Wolf, P.A. is pleased to announce the addition of
Matthew Harrod, B.B.A., J.D., LL.M.,
as an Associate of our law firm.
Matthew will be based in our Ponte Vedra Beach Office and will focus on Estate Planning, Business and Individual Tax Issues, Trusts, Probate, Guardianship, and Elder Law.
 Matthew Harrod, an attorney with a Masters in tax law with a Florida and national client base, graduated from University of Toledo with a B.B.A. (Business Management - Cum Laude) in 2000. Thereafter, he obtained his law degree from Ohio Northern University Petite College of Law in 2004. Because of his advanced interests and abilities in tax law, Harrod was accepted into the University of Miami School of Law, where he obtained a LL.M., which is a Masters of Tax, in 2005.
After graduation from the University of Miami School of Law, Harrod worked at the Andersen Firm, which provided estate planning and legal services to a broad base of clients in multiple states. With the Andersen Firm, Harrod presented frequent lectures and seminars on a wide array of estate planning and tax issues. In addition to his responsibilities as a lecturer and presenter, Harrod also maintained a full caseload. Through hard work and an extensive knowledge base, Harrod served clients throughout the State of Florida and also co-counseled with firms out of State to serve the needs of additional clients.
Even though Harrod has travelled extensively and has dealt with high net worth individuals and companies with complex tax issues, Harrod has not forgotten his family roots in Ohio where he worked for Moulton Gas Service for approximately 10 years. As noted by Harrod, "whether it was painting gas tanks or configuring software programs - I wore just about every hat for the company that I could. I greatly enjoyed the challenges and the work ethic taught to me by family members and honest, hard working co-workers." While he enjoyed his work with the gas company, Harrod's passion these days is estate planning and tax related issues for high-worth individuals and companies.
