A Lesson from
Hurricane Season

Always Have a Plan

We've been hammering this point in our blog and newsletters lately, but it is an important topic for both home and business. Always have a disaster preparedness plan.

ServiceMaster Recovery Services Hurricane Clean-Up Team

ServiceMaster teams nationwide were involved in cleaning up the aftermath of Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. Though the intensity of the storms was not a great as anticipated, there was considerable damage, a lot of flooding and numerous power outages. Every generator from coast-to-coast was spoken for by the time the storms hit.

However, we got the word out via social media that ServiceMaster was staging recovery resources from North Carolina to Connecticut - prior to the storms hitting the coast.

October is
National Fire Prevention Month

As part of National Fire Prevention Month, Greendale WI firefighters are headed to grade schools to educate kids about fire safety. They challenge kids and their families to make a fire escape safety plan. The kids who create an escape plan are entered to win prizes, including bicycles donated by ServiceMaster Recovery Services.
