Over 600 Residents Tour the Digital Bookmobile on June 13th
On Wednesday, June 13th the library systems of Waukesha and Milwaukee counties co-hosted Overdrive's Digital Bookmobile at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Over 600 residents toured the bookmobile and got a chance to talk with library staff about the OverDrive service. We even had temporary tattoos for any kids that came to the booth. The staff had a tremendous time talking with you and we appreciate everyone that showed up to support the event!
The Digital Bookmobile is a community outreach vehicle for public libraries to promote downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, music, and video. Developed inside a 74-foot, 18-wheel tractor-trailer, the nationally touring vehicle is a high-tech update of the traditional bookmobile that has served communities for decades. More information about the bookmobile can be found at: http://www.digitalbookmobile.com/ |

CHANGES TO LIBRARY NOTIFICATIONS UNDERWAY
| |
Changes for Email and Print Notices Went Into Effect on August 13th; SMS Notices Coming Soon
You may have noticed changes to the notifications you receive for materials ready for pickup. courtesy notices and other library-related information. These changes are being put into place to offer customized text for libraries to place on these notices and better format the information based on the method of delivery (email or print).
We are currently testing a service that will offer SMS text notices for libraries. Instead of receiving an email, for example, you would get a text message notifying you that materials are ready for pickup. We will have more information on this service in the next newsletter. Stay tuned!
