Greetings from the Milwaukee County Federated Library System ! 
 
You can now access CountyCat on your iPhone or iPod Touch with a new app from the Milwaukee County Federated Library System. iPhone for CountyCat With this app, you can:
  • Search the catalog
  • Place requests (holds) for items.
  • Check hours and locations of the public libraries in Milwaukee County.
The app is available FREE from the iTunes Store or the App Store (via the device itself). Use the search term "CountyCat."

We would like to send a special thank you to Jessica Celella for all her hard work on this project. The app was developed by Jessica as part of a fieldwork project for her MATC classwork.  
 
A version for use on other mobile devices will be available this fall.

MANGO LANGUAGES CONTINUES
TO GROW IN POPULARITY

Over 1400 patrons have given Mango a try

Mango
Mango languages is an award-winning resource that offers you online language instruction from the comfort of your own home or anywhere on the internet. Mango languages provides instruction with a conversational focus on several languages, including Spanish, French, German, Manadarin Chinese, and Italian. There is also a course for Spanish speakers looking to learn English as a second language.
 
Through the first six months of 2010, over 1400 patrons gave Mango a spin.  Come see what the buzz is all about.  Click on the logo above to start learning a foreign language!

Searchasaurus is an exciting and easy way for young researchers to experience online searching. It is an animated interface with a dinosaur theme that encourages students to enhance and develop basic search methodologies.

Searchasaurus is available statewide as part of the Badgerlink project of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Division for Libraries, Technology, and Community Learning. To give Searchasaurus a try, click on the logo above.
