Need help getting a job?

A job trainer specialist will be available to help you learn how to complete job applications, put together an online resume, search online job listings, and/or obtain a free e-mail account.

Through funding supplied by a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Grant, 18 public library locations in Milwaukee County will be offering the services of the specialists.  Since dates and times vary among the libraries, please consult this schedule or the events calendar at http://www.mcfls.org

NEW GREENFIELD LIBRARY NOW OPEN
New Greenfield Library Grand opening took place on July 4th

Following Grand Opening festivities on July 4th, the Greenfield Public Library opened its doors to the public Monday, July 6th. The opening of the new library, located at 5310 W. Layton Avenue in Greenfield, follows 2 years of fundraising, preparation and planning, and 9 months of construction.

The new Library covers approximately 36,000 square feet in a modern architectural style with abundant windows for natural lighting. The Library's special features include a large, colorful children's library with a unique music practice room and children's garden just outside the doors; an enhanced large print collection for elderly and visually handicapped individuals; a coffee kiosk area where a snack and beverages can be enjoyed; a young adult library with specially chosen reading materials and furnishings designed to appeal to teens and a fireplace in the mezzanine lounge furnished with comfortable, upholstered furniture and tablet chairs for laptop use.
