What is the library to you? Is it a tech-savvy institution? A comfortable place to read? A space to learn and grow? A friendly neighborhood meeting spot? What should the library look like in ten, twenty or fifty years?
The Library's Strategic Planning Committee has commissioned a community-wide survey to find out what you think of the library and what you want it to look like in the future. Your opinion on library services, facilities, and materials will be used to develop the library's next strategic plan.
In October, the research firm of LCWA will be conducting a comprehensive community-wide survey. You will receive a copy of the survey in the mail, and we ask that you fill it out and return it, either online or by mail, as soon as possible. By completing the survey, you will have a hand in writing the library's future.
Before you receive the survey, Library Board President Bob Sanfilippo and Director David Seleb will host three community meetings, where they will explain the strategic planning process and answer your questions. The meetings will take place on Saturday, October 2 from 11 a.m.-Noon at the Winnetka Library, on October 5 from 7-8 p.m. at the Northfield Community Room, and on October 12 from 7-8 p.m. at the Winnetka Library.
