Art for All Seasons
Kids in grades K-3 are invited to learn how to play musical instruments from around the world on Saturday, October 17 at 2 p.m.  After the program, join us in the Lloyd Room to make the instruments from the presentation!

Ready for Halloween?  We are!  We've planned a week full of Halloween stories, crafts, and games.  Young goblins, ghosts and witches are invited to join us for Trick or Treat at Clarkson Park in Northfield, Spooky Stories at the Northfield Branch, and our annual A-Haunting We Will Go celebration at the Winnetka Library.   Put on your costume and join us for some Halloween fun!

Claudia Traudt will speak on A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, James Joyce's richly detailed, amusing coming-of-age chronicle of a university student to 'independent' artist.  Traudt teaches across the curriculum, from Plato to Virginia Woolf, at the University of Chicago Graham School and Columbia College Chicago.
