SPIDER GRIPS' PEAK MOTORCYCLE GRIP

Hands-On Technology for Streetbike Riders

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. (March 23, 2012) -- Developed at the pinnacle of motorcycle sport, Spider's new Peak grip has climbed mountains to bring streetbike riders the latest, hands-on technology.

The Peak was conceived, designed, tested and proven by the Pike's Peak International Hill Climb-winning Spider Grips Ducati Race Team, a squad so successful that Ducati sells a special, look-alike Multistrada S to honor this accomplishment.

More than a run-of-the-mill OEM-replacement handlebar-end cover, the Peak grip was engineered for the rigors of Colorado's legendary 12-mile, 156-turn "Race to the Clouds." Every grip solution the team demanded was tested, and then built into the Peak with hands-on technology for sport, touring and everyday street riders.

From its rugged exterior to a complicated molecular structure deep within, the Peak grip is cutting edge. An aggressive tread pattern creates a more secure bond between rider and handlebar, increasing gripping power, comfort and tactile feedback. A soft outer layer of traction gel sheds water, further enhances grip and reduces fatigue. Its tapered figure is slim at the inside edge for maximum feel and progressively gets thicker toward the outside, where a harmonic damper reduces vibration for more relaxed long-distance riding. Inside, the Peak's acoustical rebound core is engineered with an advanced boundary layer shaped to dampen and reflect vibration away from riders' hands.

The 125mm-long handgrip has inset grooves for easy mounting on a wide variety of throttle tubes from all motorcycle manufacturers. Available in black, gray and red, from hundreds of dealerships nationwide, the Peak retails for $17.95.

Spider Grips' complete line of street and dirt grips is designed to inspire riders to do extraordinary things--all with less handlebar vibration, enhanced grip traction, better feel, more resistance to hand fatigue and, ultimately, superior comfort.
