BROCK'S PERFORMANCE NAMED EXCLUSIVE U.S. DISTRIBUTOR OF BLACKSTONE TEK (BST) CARBON FIBER WHEELS FOR JAPANESE SPORTBIKES
DAYTON, Ohio. (July 9, 2009) - Brock's Performance is proud to announce that it has won the exclusive U.S. rights to distribute BlackStone Tek (BST) carbon fiber wheels for Japanese sportbikes and all drag-race applications.
BST wheels endow sportbikes with lighter handling, enable faster acceleration and promote quicker braking by weighing up to 60 percent less than their OEM counterparts, reducing unsprung mass and gyroscopic effects in cornering. This equates to stronger street performance and quicker lap times at the track.
All BST wheels feature a one-piece, monocoque construction. They utilize carbon fiber strands woven in a unidirectional format, embedded in a resin matrix, cured in a high-pressure autoclave at 250 degrees and coated with a high-gloss finish. The completed wheels carry a limited two-year warranty.
Proven internationally at every level of FIM Grand Prix competition, BST wheels are DOT-legal for street use in America. Approved for WERA Superbike and Formula 1 roadracing classes, they are also undergoing AMA Pro Racing's homologation process.
In drag-strip competition, the company sponsors the AMA Dragbike BST Real Street series and offers more than $10,000 in contingency awards for the class. BST-sponsored Keith Thompson leads the championship points chase. BST recently signed motorcycling's fastest man and woman, land-speed record holders John Noonan and Leslie Porterfield, to roll on its wheels.
