DB Distributor

Inventory Control Physical Count Variance Report Added to Image Library

The Inventory Control system within DB Distributor provides a group of programs to facilitate the process of performing a physical inventory.  Inventory can be counted for a specific warehouse or group of warehouses, or for items with a specific cycle designation or for even just for a single customer.

The Inventory Control Physical Count Variance Analysis shows for each item counted, the quantity that was confirmed from the physical count compared to the quantity that resulted from the transactions that had been recorded within DB Distributor.   Variances are noted both in units as well as dollars.

Upon update, the on-hand balances are adjusted and a General Ledger Journal Entry is created in the General Journal.  Because of these accounting entries, it is important that this journal be preserved for audit control reasons.   Therefore the Inventory Control Physical Count Variance Report now joins a long list of other journals that are automatically captured within the Image Library.
