New Enhancement to Track Deleted Orders and Purchase Orders

There is a new program and two new files that will provide an audit trail for deleted orders and purchase orders.

Now, when a user deletes an order, all the order header data (from FS1) along with the operator code and the date and time of the deletion are written to a new Deleted Order Header File (FV2).  Likewise, when a purchase order is deleted, the purchase order header data (from PO1)  along with the operator code and the date and time of the deletion are written to a new Deleted Purchase Order Header file (FV3).

This data then becomes available for reporting using ODBC, the new DB Reports Suite or the View Files feature in the Graphical version of DB Distributor.

With the easy-to-use View Files feature, the operator selects either the FV2 or the FV3 file, depending upon whether they want to query the deleted orders or deleted purchase orders.  They then have the option to select the specific fields they would like to see.

They can also filter the data based upon any field included in the query.  For example, they may want to see only the deleted orders for a specific customer, or as shown in the example below, only deleted orders where the Order Amount was greater than zero.   The View Files feature also provides for exporting this data to Excel where the data can be manipulated further.

DemandBridge would like to thank Data Source for their participation in the development of this new audit control.
