New Enhancements to the Reports Scheduler Options in DB Distributor

As you may already be aware, in 2011, DemandBridge released a Reports Scheduler.  This new feature allows you to automatically schedule reports for future delivery at predetermined intervals.  The delivery method is also definable and includes email, FTP, HTTP or HTTPS.

Examples of how you might use this feature would include scheduling a Commissions Payable report to automatically email to each sales person at the end of the commission period, or an Open Order Report to the CSR responsible for certain accounts.  Perhaps, you may want to email a past due invoice report to individuals responsible for collection.

As a DB Distributor company may have hundreds of different scheduled reports, additional tools were needed to more easily maintain this system.
To this end, the Scheduled Reports Maintenance panel has been updated with the following new enhancements:

The panel now has navigation buttons to easily scroll through all of the Scheduled Reports that currently exist in the file.

In additional, a new right query button is now available in the Scheduled Reports panel to easily display all of the scheduled reports with their associated options including:
  • The Report setup information
  • Scheduled dates and times
  • Time intervals for delivery
  • Output / delivery choices

Using the standard Query > Export To Excel feature, this query data can then be exported to an Excel file for further review, reporting and manipulation.

DemandBridge would like to thank QRG for submitting this idea to improve the functionality of this already great feature.

New Navigation Buttons allow operator to easily scroll through the
existing scheduled reports and schedule options.

The Right Query Button produces a panel (above) that displays all the scheduled reports and assigned options including the frequency and how and where to deliver.

Using the standard "Tools" button, the user can export all of this data to an Excel spreadsheet (below).
