New Label Adds Clarity to Image Library Documents
There is now a new option available when scanning or importing images into your Image Library files. This new option provides access to the "Version Label" field. By providing this access, the operator can now enter a description that further identifies the document being indexed.
Previously, the Version Label field was used only to provide more descriptive information for internally generated documents that are indexed automatically. For each Image Type, a Version Label can be added in the Image Library Parameters. For UnForm users, additional functionality including the entry of Version Labels is accomplished via the Electronic Forms Delivery Options Panel.
For instance, the customer invoice might have a customer copy, a file copy and a salesperson copy. Because of the Version Labels, these electronic form 'plies' are clearly identified on the View Images panel. Now, by also providing access to this field when scanning or importing external documents, the Image Library has even greater flexibility to include document specific descriptive information. One client had a need to distinguish various "Storage Agreements." Now they are able to enter the storage expiration date in the version label field. Another client wanted to store supporting documents and pictures of an item. By entering a description in the Version Label, they can easily identify these supplemental documents without having to open each one. DemandBridge would like to thank Custom Products and QRG for their participation in the development of this newest Image Library enhancement.
