Physical Inventory Process Enhanced to Display Committed Order Information

Previously, there was a chance of errors during physical inventory if committed lots were counted with a variance. This would cause the inventory and usage numbers for that lot and item to no longer match. To prevent this, users were forced to put in place manual procedures to identify which lots were currently committed. This is no longer necessary as the system will track committed lots automatically and display committed order Information for frozen lots where appropriate during the process.

When lot records are frozen for Physical Inventory purposes, the Inventory Lot File data (ICF) is transferred to the IC Physical Count Lot File (ICL).  With this new enhancement, if a lot record happens to be committed to an order, then its order number and order line number information will also be written to the ICL file. Such records will be immediately marked as having already been counted with the count quantity set to the lot quantity.

The Graphical User Interface Physical Count Entry Panel will now display the committed order and line number information of a committed lot, as will the handheld for WMS users. The Count Sheet and the Count Checklist printing programs have been modified to print the order number and line number for committed lots.
