New Option to Print Phone Number on Packing List and Purchase
Order
The Packing List and Purchase Order Flexible Format programs have been modified to include a new field for the shipping location phone number.
The Packing List Printing program has been modified to recognize the setting of the new field #128, and if selected, to check the Customer Ship-to record and output the phone number if one is available. Likewise, the Purchase Order Printing program has been modified to recognize the setting of field 183. In the case of a Purchase Order, the shipping destination could be a Customer location, a Distributor Warehouse or even a vendor plant location. Therefore, this enhancement provides for logic to retrieve the phone number from any of these sources including reading the Vendor Master should the phone number field in the Plant record be blank.
