Final Election Countdown

With the election less than 24 hours away, CaSE is asking voters to remind themselves of what the different parties and candidates are offering science and engineering.

The leaders of the main political parties responded to CaSE's request for them to set out their policies for science and engineering:
David Cameron,
Nick Clegg, &
Gordon Brown.

All commitments from the letters, manifestos and elsewhere, aresummarised on the CaSE blog:
Labour Key Commitments
Conservative Key Commitments
Liberal Democrat Key Commitments

CaSE also contacted other political parties and has received responses from the SNP and Green Party Leader Caroline Lucas. Commitments from other parties are noted on the CaSE blog.

Voters can now  make an informed choice about which party or candidate has the best policies for science and engineering.

Most importantly - vote on May 6th.

Post-Election Work
Representatives from CaSE's member organisations are invited to a meeting at the CaSE offices on Wednesday May 19th to discuss our post-election work. If you would like to attend, please register here.

After the election, CaSE will be writing to all incoming MPs explaining the different ways that they can engage in debates about science and engineering in Parliament. We will also outline CaSE's work and offer assistance if they need it on relevant policy issues. We will also be seeking a meeting with the Science Minister.

Please see our website, blog and follow us on Twitter to remain updated on CaSE's post-election activities.
