Issue #44                                                         April 2012

Greetings!

Happy Easter
Sometimes life tends to make unexpected twists and turns that can either be for the common good or to the other extreme turn your life upside down.  This can put our coping mechanism to the test and thankfully the Bach Flower Remedies are there to help us with whatever life throws our way.
Walnut is the featured remedy this month, which can protect us from change. I will be taking a lot of this particular remedy in the Fall if my first born flies the nest.
Feature Remedy...

Walnut

Dr. Bach's Description...
For those who have definite ideals and ambitions in life and are fulfilling them, but on rare occasions are tempted to be led away from their own ideas, aims and work by the enthusiasm, convictions or strong opinions of others. The remedy gives constancy and protection from outside influences.

- The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies

But I don't like change. Why do we have to grow old and endure physical changes? I like being young and wrinkle free. If that is not bad enough, when I get an idea in my head about something like going off traveling, like clockwork someone tries to talk me out of it and ruins everything. On second thoughts, maybe they do have a point. I'm confused now.

Life is so full of changes as friends come and go. They either move away or get into bad habits, and I am left all alone. Everything was going so well.

Walnut, thank goodness for Walnut, the protector from change, distraction, influences; helping us to keep on the straight and narrow path. Change can be upsetting, but Walnut can assist by helping us to move on with confidence and the ability to walk away unscathed without looking back.

The big bold Walnut tree whose twisted branches that make an upward turn. Assisting us through the unpredictable twists and turns of life. Protecting us inside its hard shell from change and criticism.
