Issue #36                              August 2011

Greetings!

Last week I returned from my trip to England, we had an enjoyable time and managed to see everyone and do everything we wanted to do.  The travel remedy mix worked a treat and helped all around.

One of the highlights was a trip to the Bach Centre, which is in a small village in Oxfordshire. My father commented how peaceful it was there, and he was right.  The chicory was in full bloom, and each remedy plant was indicated which was useful.  After walking around the garden and looking in the house we strolled to the church yard and found Dr. Bach's grave.  Ironically I scraped my foot on it, so after a few squirts of Rescue Remedy all was well!  Lunch at the local pub rounded off an enjoyable day.

This fall I am looking forward to teaching the Level One in Port Alberni, and Vancouver.

Happy Summer!

Is anxiety troubling you? ...

Are anxious feelings - worry, fear, dread, stress - taking over and making life miserable?

Anxiety is a psychological and physiological state characterized by somatic, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral components. The root meaning of the word anxiety is 'to vex or trouble'. Physical effects can cause, fatigue, headaches, nausea, and sweating etc.  All in all being anxious is not an ideal mood to be in.  There are many causes, and some relief may be obtained from the following Bach Flower Remedies.

Different people cope with anxiety in different ways, and can either make it known to others or hide it behind a cheerful/brave face and mask whatever is bothering them.  Agrimony assists with self-acceptance and inner joy; helping one to see their problems in perspective.

Aspen and Mimulus will help ease the fears and worries.  Aspen for unknown fears and anxiety, when you are unsure of what could happen, those niggling anxious feelings that seem to pop up from time to time. Apprehension is replaced by a desire for a new adventure and new experiences, disregarding any difficulties that may arise with reassurance. Mimulus assists with known fears, providing one with a calm sense of courage to face difficult situations with confidence.

Are you prone to worrying too much about other people (especially loved ones), fear about their well-being and blowing things out of proportion?  Red Chestnut is the remedy that will help you to remove the 'bubble wrap' so that you can care for others with compassion but without anxiety.

Do you find that when you are lying in bed and trying to get to sleep persistent and repetitive worrying thoughts pop into your head?  White Chestnut helps to replace worry with a peace of mind and the knowledge that there will be a positive outcome.

Rescue Remedy can help with demanding and stressful situations.  If you are fearful, confused, or even in terror, Rescue Remedy will help you face the situation in a better frame of mind. Rescue Remedy is especially useful before a stressful event helping to reduce fear and nervousness.

Please note that the Bach Flower Remedies are not a magic bullet, and there are 38 in total, which can be combined 6/7 at a time, and custom blended for what ever is going on in your life. They work subtly by bringing out the positive qualities that are already in you.
