Issue # 23                                 July 2010
Greetings!

Today it is hot, hot, hot, 35 degrees C.  I do not like it when it is this hot, it is hard to concentrate and get anything done.  Even my computer is acting up today!

Thankfully the Bach Flowers can assist when we are intolerant of the heat and others (Beech), impatient for the cooler weather to return (Impatiens), and Rescue Cream can assist with sun burn.  Simply add the remedies to a cool drink, and all will be well.

Next week, I am embarking on a long journey, to go to a wedding in Northern BC.  We will be calling in on our old home town Kitimat to see how it has changed over the last 10 years.

This months feature article will be about which remedies I will be mixing up to take  with us (plus my 2 teenagers) on the long journey. Some may think I am mad, but I am up for the challenge.

Have remedies, will travel...

Rescue Remedy
According to google maps it will take 20 hours to get from Comox, BC to Terrace BC.
I will print off maps, and actually have some old fashioned maps, so when the kids say "Are we there yet?", I will tell them where we are and to look at the map!

We will cram all the luggage, snacks, first aid kit, and lots of cold drinks into the car, and off we will go.

In addition to having lots of Rescue Remedy on hand I will be making up myself a mix for driving, one for the kids, and one for helping me get to sleep after a long day.

The remedies considered will include:
Beech - to assist with intolerance - other family members, heat, long journey etc
Crab Apple - for cleansing, and having no problem using out-houses
Clematis - to keep me focused while driving
Elm - for when I have feelings of being overwhelmed
Impatiens - to assist with impatience
Olive - to help with the energy to keep going
Scleranthus - for decision making, and assists with motion sickness
Walnut - for adjusting to change - environment/strange beds/being away from home etc.
White Chestnut - to help me relax and get some sleep without thoughts going around and around in my head

The remedies are useful for when you are stuck at the airport, or any form of travelling.

Happy travels everyone!
