Issue # 22                                 June 2010
Greetings!

Last month seemed to be a long busy month.  I sat in on a Bach Flower presentation in Victoria and a Level One in Vancouver.  Both were interesting and informative. Plus my book 'Bach Flower Reflections' is now available in Ladysmith, Duncan, and Victoria.

I am in the process of learning how to teach the Bach Level One, so preparing my course work will keep me busy for a while. If you are interested in taking the Level One please Email

Summer is just around the corner, but you would not think so with all the damp gloomy days we have been having recently.  My vegetable garden has been well watered but there has not been enough sun for some seeds to germinate.  At the weekend I replanted some and added some remedies to the water (yes the remedies work just as well for plants).  The remedies were Walnut (for change/growth), Olive (energy), Crab Apple (protection from bugs etc), and Rescue Remedy (shock/trauma).  Next time I will add Hornbeam (to give an extra nudge to get them well on their way). I am so looking forward to eating fresh vegetables from the garden. For more info - Email

Rescue Remedy
Thank you to everyone who entered the contest 'How the Bach Flowers/Rescue Remedy save the day', they were great submissions.  Below is the winner, and in the next issues the runner ups entries will be included.

'In the 1990s a fitness/dance program called Physical Culture took root in our corner of Australia and grew like dandelions in May. My
daughter Eleanor, quickly became infected and was an enthusiastic student. Physical Culture has a very competitive aspect to it, replete with skin tight lycra and make up on pre-pubescent girls and I was not a good stage mum.
Despite my opposition, or perhaps because of it, Eleanor practiced with determination and eventually made it to the big city competition
in Canberra.
The big day arrived and we made the pre-dawn drive to Canberra. I failed mothering 101 for not providing professional hair styling or makeup and refusing to get a false bra, but despite her obvious
disadvantages, Eleanor made it to the finals.
By this time she was so wound up, she was quivering like a human tuning fork. I did what any good mum would do and reached for my ever present bottle of Bach Flower Rescue Remedy. I put 4 drops under her tongue and off she went for the final round of the day.
Eleanor made third, and I could see she was disappointed, but that's one of life's big learning curves, isn't it?
As we got into the car to head home she was still glowering and hissed at me,"I could have won that if you hadn't made me so relaxed!"
