Issue: # Eight
|
April/2009

Greetings!
A lot has happened since last month, and yes
I did do some de-cluttering and moved furniture around the house. More about that in my article below.
This month I am going to be
getting ready for all the events that are scheduled for May - spa night for
mothers, a menopause seminar, and I am going to be having a booth and speaking
at a pet fair in Parksville. A full
list of events is at: http://www.bachflowerscanada.com/upcoming.htm

Hornbeam
The feature remedy for this issue is
Hornbeam which is for weariness, mental rather than physical. That Monday morning feeling when your get up
and go seems to have got up and gone!
Hornbeam
I can't face work,
can hardly wake,
So tired, again I'm
starting late;
I need more power,
more speed, more drive
To give me impetus
to thrive
Mature and vital;
soon I'm gleam
As I gain strength
from tough Hornbeam.
'Flower Remedy Rhymes' - Nora Harrison
For those who feel that
they have not sufficient strength, mentally or physically, to carry the burden
of life placed upon them; the affairs of every day seem too much for them to
accomplish, though they generally succeed in fulfilling their task. For those
who believe that some part, of mind or body, needs to be strengthened before
they can easily fulfil their work.

Twelve Healers and Other Remedies'- Dr. Edward Bach

De-cluttering made easy with the help of the Bach Flower Remedies.
Recently I went to a presentation about Feng Shui for
success and after having had the Feng Shui consultant
around to our house, have
consequently been changing all the furniture around and de-cluttering.
All the desks are now facing the doors, pictures of water
have been taken out of the bedroom, and today I bought some wind chimes.
Interestingly enough every room and part of room depicts
certain subjects like wealth and blessings, and helpers and travel for
example. Since I want to go to Hawaii I
focused on the living room. Some chairs
were moved, all the black and white photos are on the mantelpiece and I sorted
out all the books on the shelves.
My tidy desk is now arranged to bring about wealth and
blessings. It will be interesting to
see what unfolds. Another big task suggested by the consultant was to
completely empty the garage, and wash it out and then replace only the items
that we needed neatly.
All in all what we have done so far has been a lot of
work. It is not always easy deciding
what to get rid of etc. This is where
the Bach Flowers come into their own, helping with the emotions that are
attached to them. Which books to keep
or take to the consignment store, this can cause guilt by discarding books that
were gifts or ones that we have had a long time but not looked at in
years.
Pine is for giving us the ability to accept
responsibility realistically and to have sound judgment without feeling guilty. If at some point you feel overwhelmed once
the furniture is being moved around and there is a huge mess of papers on the
floor, Elm helps to put everything into perspective and self-assurance
that it will be done in the end.
If you start something and get discouraged Gentian is
the remedy to assist with the feeling that no task is too daunting to
undertake. For feelings of hopelessness Gorse is your remedy, which
gives a sense of hope and faith.
Too tired or busy to de-clutter? Olive provides a
restoration of strength and vitality.
If even the thought of the rearranging and lifting heavy objects around
makes you feel tired, Hornbeam helps with the ability to get on with it.
Now that your house has been rearranged and de-cluttered to
the best of your ability everything seems different. Walnut is for adapting to change and that it is possible
to move forward.
As a reward sit back and enjoy the tidy house and
listen to the wind chimes as you have a cup of well-deserved tea. |
