Celtic Woman
The sensational Irish Group, Celtic Woman will be performing in early May in Southern California.
Celtic Woman was formed in 2004 and have since toured the world with a rigorous schedule that always delivers extraordinarily wonderful performances. The Celtic Woman appear to be totally dedicated to their art and tireless in their work. Starting this week, we are going to profile each of them prior to their first appearance this year in Southern California on May 6 at the Gibson Amphitheater on Universal City Walk.
Chloё
Chloё Agnew has been an integral part of Celtic Woman since she was just fourteen, so if she feels as though she has grown up with the show, it's be- cause essentially she has. As tough as near-constant touring can sometimes be hard on a girl her age. Chloё insists that she wouldn't have it any other way. 'True,' she says 'packing your bags at fifteen and going out on the road, not knowing anyone, can be a scary thing. But it has been a phenomenal opportunity and I've gotten to see the world before turning twenty. It's been such an amazing experience'.
Chloe Agnew
| Support is something that Chloё, as a member of a show business family, has always had in liberal supplies. Both of her parents are successful enter- tainers. Her mother, the singer and stage actress Adele "Twink" King, is a household name in Ireland and her father, David Agnew, is a professional oboist. My mum was on the road at the same age as me so she's watching me walk down that same path now. It's great to have someone who completely gets it. In 1998, at age nine, she was awarded the Grand Prix at the First International Children's Song Competition in Cairo. Chloё went on to record her debut solo album. Her second CD followed two years later when she was still only fourteen. It was then that she was asked to become part of the very first Celtic Woman show. She considers performing with Celtic Woman as "the greatest experience of my life." When asked about the future, Chloё says, "I have no idea where life will take me. I never dreamed Celtic Woman would be where it is today. I do hope to venture out into the music world as a solo artist some day, but right now, I'm not going anywhere!" she laughs.

Wells Of Life
Our great friend, Nick Jordan told us about Well of Life late last year. Jordan is the co-founder of this group and he has dedicated a lot of energy, money and time to obtaining clean water for some wonderful people, most of them children, who need our help. We are now back on track to do our best to help this fine organization drill an IRISH E-MISSIVE READERS Well in Africa. Please help if you can. We mentioned this project a few months ago for the first time. The dreadful earthquakes in Haiti and Chile distracted us but now we really need your donations, moral support and word of mouth help to make this happen.
www.wellsoflifeafrica.org
Call our publisher Jim McDonough (785 341-6923) or Luanne (949 885-7141) at Nick Jordan's office to get involved.
