Eddie Bravo coming Monday 7/25/2011
Eddie Bravo will be joining 10th Planet Burbank a week from today on Monday, 7/25/2001 to teach a special class in Burbank. Regardless of your experience level, don't miss out on this opportunity to meet Eddie and learn directly from the Master himself. The class is free, open to all existing 10th Planet Burbank students, and is set for our regularly scheduled time of 7:00-8:30pm. Let's show Eddie the passion and power of Burbank and 10th Planet pride, and our appreciation for this amazing system he has created!

"Evaluation" Class Tuesday 7/18/2011
Erwann and Eisner will be hosting our first "Evaluation" class tomorrow night, Tuesday 7/19, during our regularly scheduled Jiu Jitsu class from 8:30-10:00pm. They will be devoting their time and the class to evaluating your skills, knowledge, and progress for the purposes of future belt promotions. They are summoning all our higher ranked belts to come help and roll with everyone. Whether you're near being promoted or early in your Jiu Jitsu training, you should try to come to class tomorrow night to support, observe, and roll with your teammates. And even though you may elicit this "what the fuck is that" look from Eisner, or the "whatever you're doing, I can't really see it and I'm pretty sure it's not Jiu Jitsu" pose from Erwann, the most important thing is to take care of each other and to have fun at our inaugural "Evaluation" class, hopefully the first of many.

Upcoming Competitions
Best of the West No-Gi Championships 7/23/11 Long Beach Convention Center
This Saturday 7/23/11 is the Best of the West No-Gi Tournament at the Long Beach Convention Center. We're not sure how many Honey Badgers will be competing, but if you plan on going, please sign up on the board in the gym so Jason and Erwann know you're planning on competing. Muay Thai Smoker
We have found a great new venue for our next set of Muay Thai smokers. If you're interested in competing and training for an upcoming smoker, please let Charlene and TK know and they'll get you going on a plan.

Jared's MMA Class Against the Fence
 
Jared and the MMA class make use of the new 20' MMA corner of padded walls and cage fence at 10th Planet Burbank. He's making monsters out of them!

Jason Eisner and Cade Nelson get Promoted
Oh, shit! For those that haven't heard, a gigantic congratulation goes out to Jason Eisner for receiving his Brown Belt from Eddie Bravo last week, and to Cade Nelson for receiving his Black Belt!!
