This month we have both sad and exciting updates to announce. We are sad to announce that Scott Epstein has decided to take a break from teaching Jiu Jitsu classes at 10^th Planet Burbank.  After a very busy and exciting summer last year, including looking to open his own gym, appearing on Season 11 of TUF with team Chuck Liddell, and filming Never Back Down 2, Scott returned to 10^th Planet Burbank earlier this year to teach many of our Jiu Jitsu classes.  10^th Planet Burbank strives to provide the best instruction and curriculums in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.  Scott has a distinct and unique style of teaching and interacting with clients.  Over the past several months, we have been in conversations with Scott to determine whether his style and the culture we are creating at 10^th Planet Burbank can coexist, which concluded in the decision to part ways for now.   The 10^th Planet Burbank staff and clients respect Scott immensely, and while we will miss him greatly, we are confident that Scott's path will cross ours again in the future.  We thank Scott for the time he devoted to 10^th Planet Burbank!

Without diminishing our tribulation in seeing Scott depart, we are very excited to announce that Erwann Marshall and Jason Eisner will taking a larger roll in our Jiu Jitsu program.  Erwann Marshall, a brown belt under Eddie Bravo,  will continue to teach our Fundamentals classes, as well some All Levels Classes.  Erwann is an incredible instructor, with an insanely technical grasp of the system and sport.  Jason Eisner, who currently teaches our day time Jiu Jitsu classes,  is a purple belt under Eddie Bravo, and the founder of Rebel Yoga.  Jason has taught classes at 10^th Planet HQ and is at the heart of Mastering the System with Eddie Bravo, a reality show documenting the ins and outs of the 10^th Planet System.  If you've been lucky enough to take daytime classes with Jason, you'll know that his technical knowledge of Jiu Jitsu is outstanding, and his energy is infectious.   Erwann and Jason will be complimented by our regular  10^th Planet subs.  All other classes will remain the same (Wrestling, MMA, Muay Thai, and Conditioning).  You can see the live schedule of which instructors are teaching each class on our website here.
