Holiday Schedule for Adult classes

Closed 24th-27th with Open Mat for the 27th still on
Closed 31st-Jan.3rd with Open Mat for the 3rd still on.
No kids or ladies classes the 24th-4th.
FYI- closed THIS Fri. and Sat. the 11th and 12th for Grappler's Quest Vegas! Sunday is still on.
Reg. classes otherwise.

Who is training at Burbank in the last few months (besides you:)
|
 Over the last year, 10th Planet Burbank, has seen quite a few "celebrities" come to train at our gym with students. Some are looking to add 10th Planet Techniques to their ground game some are just looking to get in a good roll - From our in house names like Scott Epstein and of course Eddie Bravo, to some old School MMA celebs like Ken Shamrock or current MMA superstars like Chuck Liddell and Georges St. Pierre....recently we have had some fighters on the rise training with us and bringing 10th Planet moves to the masses in the UFC.... like George Sotiropoulos and Dan Hardy. If these guys come to train with Eddie, Alder and Scott, you can be sure you are getting the BEST in No-Gi training from us. Not to mention bragging rights to tell your buddies- "yeah, I rolled with The Iceman last night in class."

What is the Plan for 2010?
|
 2010 is THE year for 10th Planet Burbank! We have SO many great ideas and plans for the new year, we want to share with you all. Karen will be joining us full time in Feb. so we will be improving many things in the coming year.... honestly, too many to list but here are a few that people have been asking about:
- All new Website - faster, slicker, up to date weekly and more interactive. We will have instructional videos on class content, a student forum, profiles, online scheduling, and more.
- 10th Planet Burbank T-shirts - we will finally be getting the official 10th Planet Burbank shirts. Plus, look for other great products coming soon....
- New Classes - we have a ton of new class days and times and a few new classes planned for the new year, including ideas for an MMA fitness/conditioning class, a Pro-fighter/Competition Class, Boot Camp, etc...plus expanding the classes we currently offer to more days and times.
- Open Gym - with the new year we will be trying to have more times to just come in and train at the gym.
- Guest Instructors - over the past year we have had some great "guest" instructors (most recently Edwin with the "Prison Guard" and Jason with the 50/50) not only will we be continuing this, we we be offering some great seminars too.
- Events - we will be adding even more great events for the new year. In the past we have done tournaments, fights nights/UFC, BBQs, music events, sushi nights, etc....but in 2010 we will be doing MORE, better, bigger. We have ideas for a UFC - PPV night, a UFC Undisputed (PS3) tournament, more dinners and BBqs, beach party and more!
- Promotions - now that we have been open a year there will be many promotions coming up. Alder, Scott and Kim have been talking in super secret meetings and Alder will be speaking to Eddie at an undisclosed location soon. The more often you show up to class, use the 10th Planet system and compete the faster new colors will come your way:)
- Showers - sorry, no plans to put in showers at our current location (no room)...but who knows, maybe we "blow up the 'bank" so much this year, we need to find a bigger place- THEN we will have shower FOR SURE!

Thanks for taking the time to read through this. We try to keep the emails to once a month but they are filled with good info so at least keep skimming through them.
Have a super great Holiday season. Remember, we are closed some days for the holidays but there is still plenty of time to come in and get some great training in.

Something to think about over your Holiday Break.
We need some team name ideas. Mainly as a whole
for the entire Fight Team ( men, ladies, kids, JJ, MT and MMA)
but ideas for smaller groups is cool too:
for the ladies team
for the Muay Thai Team
for the MMA Team
for the Kids team
Also fight names for you or your buddies. We have had quite a few students that have taken advantage of the "free fight name on your rashie" offer we had last month - my fave so far is still "El Mexican" but there are some other great ones like: the Roach, DrillBit and Vic-Tory. There are the better known staples - Einstein or E=MC2, Coach, Sensei (star:), Master Vic, El Matador, Macaco, Fresh or Combate and some that so should be....you know who you are!
