Last year was a very interesting year in our industry due to the recession, ecconomy and fast growing technology world.
Last year , many shops closed left and right, any many shelter magazines got really skinny or stopped printing all together, and Designers' like myself , and industry leaders have had to adapt to the changes and make changes ourselves to how we do business.
Good news is: Change is good.
Change brings new opportunities.
I am seeing a lot of new stores open up and there's been a huge increase in "pop-up stores", which are fun !
You know you are in the Digital Age, when new shelter magazines are now online and the social media has exploded !
EMI Interior Design, Inc, has too had to keep up with the times and join the social media network... and you can now check us out on Facebook and our Blogspot, websites and more. So for us, this means more exposure , which brings new opportunities.
Times maybe changing and we could change a thing or two about how we personally stay with the times, But I have to say, Thank goodness the great shelter magazines are not going anywhere, because personally I love flipping through my magazines, and tearing pages out that inspire me.
And I actually like making a phone call rather than emailing all the time. So what ever works I say.
