Click here to read my Reflections on Fall and Living in Gratitude.  I have been highly inspired by life lately and specifically our SLC community and I wanted to share my insights with you in this article.

I feel extremely filled up from the love and high energy we are experiencing at the Spiritual Living Center right now!  Class is going amazing and Sunday services are off the charts!  In addition I am so moved and inspired by the work that we are doing in the area of outreach at SLC.  I invite you to visit our Outreach page on the website for updates on ways that you can give back to the world; globally, locally and within your SLC community.  Note the SLC Community Outreach Model pdf at the bottom of the page.

SLC Helping Hands

Helping Hands 
We have just added another element to our Community Angels, which is "Helping Hands."  This new networking service within our congregation is to let you know when one of your fellow members could use your help with something; such as moving or locating a resource that might be available within our community like a personal trainer or massage therapist, etc. This is a new concept whose parameters will continue to evolve but in the meantime we have an opportunity for you to come together in community this Saturday.  Two of your fellow SLC members happen to be changing residences on the same day this weekend and could use your assistance. 
 
Joelle Leboa (Rev. Renee's Mother) will be moving Sat. morning at 10am.  If you are available to help please contact Rev. Renee at renee@slccharlotte.com
 
Wanda Gaskins (Candle & Choir Goddess) will be moving with her daughter Naema this Sat. afternoon at 3pm.  If you are available to help please call Wanda at 704-953-4240
 
They are both hoping that some of you who own trucks might be available since neither of them have secured a moving truck yet, so if you can help please contact them asap so they can make plans.

We are thrilled to be one of the participating houses of faith at this year's Interfaith Thanksgiving Service here in Charlotte sponsored by Mecklenburg Ministries.  We hope that you will join us as we honor over 80 participating houses of faith across our city.

Children's Interfaith Choir Details:
Children k-8 of all faiths are encouraged to participate
Rehearsal Mon. Nov. 23rd 6:30-7:30pm at Temple Israel & arrive by 6pm on 24th with chaperone.  
Sign up in 3 Easy Steps!

2)  Attend the rehearsal on the 23rd accompanied by a parent or chaperone
3)  Arrive by 6:00 pm Tuesday, November 24 dressed in white top and black pants or skirt

Adult's Interfaith Choir Details:
To join, simply attend the following rehearsals:
Sunday afternoon-November 22nd      6:30-9 pm
Monday evening---  November 23rd     6:30-9 pm
Tuesday evening ---November 24th     6-6:50 rehearsal, 7:00 Interfaith Thanksgiving Service   
All rehearsals and the service will be at Temple Israel.  Don't be concerned if you are unable to attend all rehearsals.  Call Pam Jefsen with any questions pertaining to the Adult Choir 704-347-8230.

 At the SLC pic nic in September Rev. Ned and Martha realized the excitement and experience they each share in living the Science of Mind Philosophy.  This connection gave birth to a series of classes we are now offering for those of you who are new to our Center and our teaching.  This is a free and very informative class to answer some frequently asked questions as well as share some thought provoking insights.
