Junior Achievement India has had the privilege of meeting more than 80,000+ students across the country in the past 4+ years of operation. It is our constant endeavor to bring the real world of work to our students. Our classroom programs have played a consistent role towards this objective. Classroom interactions help students understand the need to identify their interests, connect them to their education and career paths. 

The impact of classroom program is immense. However, there is a need for follow on interaction and reinforcement. This requires a platform that brings together our main stakeholders, namely, our volunteers and students. Our various endeavors to popularize use of social media has been successful to an extent but has not achieved the necessary student coverage. Most of our students do not have access to the internet and even among students who have access, the usage levels are very low. It is no secret that the penetration of mobile services in India has been tremendous and is by far the most used commodity amongst our students too. Considering the need to connect the professionals with our students, the use of mobile technology seems to be the obvious option. 

We are proud to announce the launch of JA Users' Mobile Platform (JUMP). JUMP will facilitate interaction between volunteers and students through SMS. JUMP can sustain unconstrained number of direct interactions between any number of students and volunteers, and also with JA India. Every JA India student will have the option to be in constant touch with the volunteer, and JA India, as they go through the process of implementing the program concepts. 

Volunteers who have not had the opportunity to be in classroom interactions now have the option to engage students through this platform. Volunteers and students have the additional option to belong to chosen groups (profession based, industry based, school based and so on) -- for intra-group open interactions. No mobile number or user data would be visible to anyone in the group, or in the community, at any stage of interaction. All interactions through JUMP can also be accessed through our web portal.
