KPMG volunteers initiate JA programs in Kolkata |
Greetings!
We are delighted to share with you that JA programs have now reached yet another new city: Kolkata!
Closer to this children's day, the first JA Classroom in Kolkata was conducted, on 13 Nov 2010, for 36 Class X-XII students. These students, supported in several ways by CINI (Child in Need Institute), attended the JA Careers with a Purpose workshop. The session was jointly conducted by JA India and KPMG Kolkata volunteers (Shyam, Pooja and Janaki) - who were earlier oriented on the program on 12 November 2010.
KPMG volunteers would be visiting the students periodically for follow on interactions. Please access LINK to event photo album.
JA India extends it gratitude to KPMG Kolkata volunteers, CSR team and leadership for their support in initiating the process for continued industry-student interaction in the Kolkata region. Except for the limited in-classroom execution support from JA India team, the entire time and effort towards this success is solely attributable to the KPMG team. This experience yet again reaffirms our faith in the power of industry partnerships in helping students learn well.
