I am offering free Baby Massage and Communication classes at Sugar Snap
Cbaby massageonsignment!  The next class is April 8 at 9:30, and will vary between the first or second Thursday of the month.  You can sign up for updatessugar snap from Sugar Snap on their Facebook Page.  Thank you Sugar Snap for being open to my presence in your new cool space.  I want to encourage mothers to go there to shop.  Their resale clothes are of excellent quality.  They have new things there, too, part of The Nature's Child.

I am currently seeking a location to teach my mom and baby class.  It needs to be on Tuesday mornings and lasts 6 weeks!  If you know of any place or want to host, contact me!

Free Mom and Baby Clinic

I am offering a free clinic for families who have had difficult prenatal periods and births every other Friday at my studio in Belvedere.  This clinic is patterned off of BEBA in California.  Please read more about it by clicking on the link!  Contact me for more information!  Katercst@gmail.com

Ray Castellino, the creator of the method I use to work with families and visionary who opened BEBA recently gave an excellent talk on sleep.  You can listen to it by clicking a link on the Consciously Parenting webpage.

Nature Connection: The Green Hour

children on logI am offering a FREE afternoon nature-connection at Ivy Creek one Thursday a month starting March 25.  Click on the link for more information.  I will be using games, exercises, songs, stories to help families connect with themselves and nature.  Nature is the great nervous system regulator!  Please email me if you want to be on my list of dates and reminders.  Ideal for children aged 6 - 12.
New Baby Doula Package for Moms!

I have long had specials for pregnant moms:

  • 1/2 price massages the last month of pregnancy
  • Home visit postpartum massage with travel fee waived.
I am now offering a Baby Doula Package:

  • 2 prenatal massages
  • 1 craniosacral treatment of baby
  • 1 supported attachment session
  • 1 postpartum massage

All Just $200!  What a deal!  Sign up today.

What is supported attachment?  Once the baby is born, he or she can be placed onto the mother's belly where movement initiated by the baby will help him or her move to the breast.  The self-initiated movement is important for the baby.  It will provide an imprint of success and satisfaction, and will greatly help with breastfeeding.  Often on the way to the breast, the baby will tell the story of birth from his or perspective.  I support the storytelling.  For more information about self attachment see The Breast Crawl, an international movement.  For more information on supported attachment, see Mary Jackson's video you can purchase here.

Free Range Play and Designing Natural Play Spaces for Healthy Children and Planet

I am cosponsoring an excellent talk and workshop with Mountaintop Montessori April 23 and 24!  This workshop will present the importance of free play in nature taught by Robin Moore of the Natural Learning Initiative.  Keep your eyes on the website for the Mountaintop Seed Project.  I will also be posting information on my webpage, Belvedere Blog, and Facebook.

We need SPONSORS for this event.  Prices are very reasonable. You get free tickets and a booth at the event. Excellent exposure for you and your business.  Please contact me!
Biodynamic Craniosacral Training coming to Charlottesville: Rescheduled

craniosacraltherapyI am hosting the first of three introductory workshops of the 10 module Biodynamic Craniosacral Foundation Training with Michael Shea May 5-8, 2010 at the English Inn in Charlottesville, VA.  Introductory modules will be offered during 2010 with the hopes of gathering at least 16 professionals for a training.

I selected Michael because of his years teaching the material and his specific focus on embryology.  I am convinced more than ever that the craniosacral therapy touches in on early embryonic developmental sequencing; it can be deeply healing and part of a repatterning experience.  Check out Michael's website for more information.  See a YouTube of Michael working here.
