Learn a Language -- On the Go
Now you can learn a new language anywhere you go with Mango's free app for the iPhone®, iPod touch® and iPad®. Mango Languages' Mobile Library Edition is a powerful language learning platform that delivers fast, easy and effective language learning wherever your travels take you. Full-featured, it provides access to all the Mango language courses offered through Kent District Library's online site.
In order to get started, you must have a Mango account set up through KDL's website, and an iPhone®, iPod® touch or iPad®. Once the app and lessons have been downloaded, you can learn at your own pace, anywhere, any time!

KDL's Summer Reading Club -- Join Today!
 It's not too late to join in the celebration. Fill your summer with reading and fun as we celebrate culture, travel, and books with One World, Many Stories, this year's Summer Reading Club theme for kids. With separate clubs for kids, teens, and adults, the entire family can have fun reading together all summer long. Animals @ the Library
If you can't get to the zoo this summer, then visit your local KDL branch for these FREE animal programs. Z's Kids Club will bring the zoo to you with live animals, demonstrations, and fun facts. This traveling zoo program is for families with children ages 5 and up and will take place at multiple KDL branch locations. It's sure to be a great time!
If you want to get up close and personal, then KDL's Animal Crackers Petting Zoo is for you. Children of all ages are invited to hang out with, touch, and learn about animals from one of the largest exotic traveling petting zoos in the area. Check out our online calendar for dates and times.

Online Resource of the Month: HeritageQuest
Explore your family tree with HeritageQuest, KDL's free genealogy research database. Search census images from 1790 to 1930, 25,000 family and local history books, Revolutionary War records, Freedman's Bank Records, and over 6,500 genealogical periodicals since 1800. You never know what you'll discover! HeritageQuest is provided by the Michigan eLibrary (MeL).
