You've read the book, now meet the author! Join the Kent District Library, the Grand Rapids Public Library and other community organizations as we welcome Jim Lynch, author of The Highest Tide, to East Kentwood's Fine Arts Auditorium on Thursday, March 26 at 7pm, for this year's One Book, One County finale. Discover what inspired the memorable character of Miles O'Malley in this year's captivating One Book, One County title selection.

KDL invites you to celebrate Teen Tech Week, March 8 to 14. This year's theme is Press Play @ your library. It's a time when we encourage all teens to explore library technology including portable audiobook devices and downloadable video content, as well as join us for a number of branch contests and activities. Play Grow ReadResearch shows that birth through age five is the most important time for children to develop their brains and attitudes towards reading and learning. KDL's PLAY-GROW-READ! early literacy initiative gives parents fun ideas and information to help prepare children for school and encourage a lifelong love of reading.
