Greetings!
It's National Get Organized Month in January and we're set for a huge month. Getting organized is in the 10 most mentioned New Year's resolutions with the top one being losing weight.
If you are finally thinking about getting organized, let me help you understand what getting organized can do for you, your family, your marriage, and your household.
Most people define getting organized as setting up a system that creates the ability to quickly find things when they are needed. While this is certainly a huge benefit, getting organized is really so much more.
Being well organized changes your life, marriage, how your family functions, and yes, it even impacts the top resolution - losing weight. It allows you to focus more on the goals and projects you may have put off until you got organized! All it may take is learning that there is a big difference between planning to do something and actually scheduling it on a calendar system that works for your family.
Remember how hard it has been in the past to schedule time to exercise or to cook a healthy meal? Making it happen starts with getting organized.
Hiring a professional organizer that knows what works, what does not work, what products are available, and what systems will work to keep you organized, is the first step. If you hire a professional organizer, make sure you are willing to deal with some tough love - the kind that is needed to inspire you to get organized. Get Organized! would love to be the company that brings organization and happiness to your home in 2011. Call us today for an appointment.

Bulging Closets
Maybe your closet is beginning to bulge at the seams. You probably have clothing in your closet you have not worn for years, boxes of old photos, unused picture frames, worn out shoes, and maybe even the appearance of a box stuffed with papers hidden under your hanging clothes.
Your closet is such a small space, yet holds many important items for your daily life. Keeping it organized can start your day off right by helping you find outfits with ease, and getting you to work on time.
Get Organized! has a few tips when organizing your closet. Spend an evening trying on clothing to see how many outfit combinations you can make with the clothes you already have. This will make the process of getting ready each day much smoother.
Designate a small section of your closet for clothes that are too big or too small, but that you really want to keep. Label the area or purchase rod dividers at The Container Store for a few dollars that will organize your racks just like a department store.
Lastly, if you are planning to remodel or add extra space to your closet, you might want to consider something that would give you more storage space, better function of the space you have, and a beautiful look. Check out www.SpaceXDoors.com for new closet doors that will help you gain much needed space. |

Birthday Parties

Are you in charge of planning a birthday event right after Christmas and New Years? Your plate is full and still you have one more party to plan.
Consider buying birthday gifts for your upcoming birthday person or even future birthdays during the month of January when all the stores are having great markdowns and clearance items.
Save time and money by baking cupcakes instead of buying a cake and allow everyone to decorate their own cupcake to eat during the party. More fun and less expense.
For a fun and easy celebration, find an indoor community pool and host your party there. Most pools that offer party packages have a party area and lifeguards included in the package price. Low maintenance and high fun. The only problem you might have is getting the kids out of the water for cake and presents.
Lastly, check out this free Party Planner form that will help you keep track of all the party details. |
Donate your Unused Computer Time
Want an easy way to be a part of helping to fight diseases? Donate your unused computer time. Here is how it works: first, install a free application that runs when your computer is "idle". While it runs, it performs mathematical calculations on simulations of diseases, cancers, ailments, etc. When the simulation is complete, your computer uploads the results to a data center and then receives a new simulation to work on. This continues in cycles until you opt out of the program. Most of these applications are through college or research facilities. Here is a link to a few places where you can donate your computer time . |

Savvy Ways to Save
Yes, Christmas is over
but don't get confused about the "Christmas Tree Shops" being a store that is only about Christmas. This store does carry seasonal items, but the main bulk of your shopping finds will be highly discounted
home décor, giftware, housewares, food, and paper goods. In 2003, Bed, Bath and Beyond bought these stores and still owns them today, so you are sure to find great products at reduced prices. |
PlumLifeTM is different than other calendar and task programs because they believe everything in life is related.
Their fundamental belief: The calendar is the center for life at home.
Their goal: To create a calendar system where you have a place for everything in one place.
With PlumLife, the calendar is central. Contacts, maps, and global search engines are then all linked together.
The workspace is key to seeing your entire world "live" AND all in one place.
We invite you to take a FREE 30 day trail with PlumLife. If you need personal coaching with set up and coaching on time management, please contact Get Organized! today for a two hour coaching session.
